Rookie Program Description:
The OBHL Rookie Program at  Confederation Beach Park is for Boys and Girls of ages 3-5 and all skill levels! Get Outside, Play Ball Hockey and Have FUN!
The Rookie program is 1 hour sessions on Saturday’s (at noon with occasional  10:00 am start) where we run fun drills and games to get players engaged and having fun. Half of every session is used to run a fun scrimmage game.

When and Where to Register?
Register Online Anytime by clicking on the “Youth” registration button on the home page or Come into the OBHL-Office at Confederation Park . Call or text the office at 289-933-0979 to make sure we are open. 

Seasons to Play:
Spring Season (April till June)
Summer Season ( July through mid Sept)
Fall Season (September through November)

Rookies Season Details:

  • 10 Sessions, Learn to Play and Have FUN!
  • Team Shirt to Keep
  • Team Picture ( digital copy available)
  • Player Souvenir
  • Free Food and Drinks after the Final Game
  • Outdoor Ball Hockey FUN! 

Rookie League Fees:
Rookie Fee is: = $150.00 per player. HST included

Rookie program will run on Saturday’s both locations hours may vary 
Space is limited for this program register early before it's full. 

Program Details:
Our Learn to Play and Have FUN! Program is designed to introduce little ones to the grass roots level of the sport of hockey. The hour sessions are split up into FUN activities and games for this age group. Parents are encouraged to bring their stick and join us on the floor to get active and involved in the fun!

Coaches:
Coaches are an important part of fun youth ball hockey. Our staff invites parents to bring their stick and join in on the fun on the rink to help encourage the little ones and play safe and fun ball hockey! Promoting a positive environment and teaching hockey skills, sportsmanship, respect, and having fun are most important!

Weather Policy: 
Games are played in the light rain. But games are usually canceled if it is raining or has rained throughout the day as the rink holds water. Games are also canceled due to thunder,
lightening, high winds, etc.

Youth Player Equipment:

Mandatory Equipment 18yrs and Younger:
-helmet with full face protection
-protective gloves
-jock or jill strap
-shin pads
-stick
-elbow pads (recommended but not mandatory)
-water bottle or drink
